Meet the Team

Lee founded MCL Accountants in 2011, and Ishan joined as Director in 2012. A Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) since 2001, Lee’s early career was in commerce and industry, particularly within multinational manufacturing firms, before he transitioned to practice in 2008.

Lee specialises in advising organisations on financial management and strategic growth. He helps clients - from large corporations to small, developing businesses - achieve their goals through business modelling and strategy, financial & business management, and designing efficient business systems. His sector experience includes professional services, manufacturing, and media.

Outside of work, Lee is a keen sports enthusiast - he enjoys golf, cycling, swimming, and football - and is a father to two teenage children.

Ishan qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) in 2008. He began his career in commerce and industry, gaining experience in business processes across transport and retail sectors. In 2012, he joined MCL Accountants, bringing strong commercial insight and a client-centric approach.

Today, Ishan offers quasi–Financial Director (FD) and Non-Executive Director services to growing businesses, with deep expertise in financial management, taxation, and strategic development. His specialist areas include statutory compliance, business and personal taxation, transactional processing, and managing outsourced finance operations. He works across professional services, construction, retail, hospitality, entertainment, media, and advertising sectors.

In his personal time, Ishan is a devoted family man with two young children. He remains an active cricketer - both playing and auditing for his local cricket club - and enjoys football, technology, and travelling.

Mark joined MCL in 2025 and is based at the Leigh-on-Sea office. He brings over 20 years of experience in public practice and qualified through ACCA in 2009.

Mark has extensive expertise in statutory audits and accounts, working with owner-managed businesses and group entities, as well as undertaking specialist assignments including solicitors’ accounts and pension scheme audits. He is passionate about helping clients view audits as a constructive process that delivers genuine value and practical insight into their operations.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his favourite football club, West Ham United.

Hamish joined MCL in 2016, based at the Thorpe Bay office. Over the years he has built a strong reputation within the firm for his attention to detail, technical competence, and client rapport. He handles a wide variety of clients, producing company accounts, liaising with auditors and tax authorities, and offering advisory support. His deep knowledge of firm processes and client needs often sees him mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal improvements.

Outside the office, Hamish enjoys family life and pursues his interests in sports and community events.

Kunal has been with MCL since 2016 and leads the firm’s payroll, bookkeeping, and VAT operations. His strong organisational skills, process focus, and attention to accuracy help ensure consistent, timely delivery for clients.

Kunal is often the go-to person for complex payroll and bookkeeping workflows, and is known for his calm, dependable approach.

Kayleigh joined in 2022 and is based at our Leigh-on-Sea office. She supports clients with account preparation and compliance, bringing a proactive and personable attitude to her work.

Kayleigh enjoys cultivating strong relationships with clients and is enthusiastic about contributing to their financial goals.

Eva joined MCL in 2026 and is based at our Leigh-on-Sea office. She brings over eight years of experience in public practice, supporting clients with accounts preparation, self-assessment tax returns and compliance.

Rebecca joined MCL in 2025 and works from the Leigh-on-Sea office. She focuses on company accounts preparation and self-assessment tax returns.

With a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn, Rebecca is a conscientious member of the team committed to high standards.

Hassan joined MCL in 2022 and is based at the Thorpe Bay office. He specialises in preparing company accounts and completing self-assessment tax returns.

Known for his precision and dedication, Hassan supports senior staff in delivering timely and accurate accounts work to clients.

Nishta has been with MCL since 2012 and is based at the Thorpe Bay office. With long service in the firm, she brings deep familiarity with internal systems and client history.

Nishta is valued for her reliability, institutional knowledge, and consistent delivery.

Parvinder joined in 2016 and assists Kunal with payroll processing. She ensures clients’ payrolls are handled accurately and punctually, bringing strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a friendly, professional demeanour.

Jyoti Verma joined the firm in 2025 and supports the team with company secretarial functions, including statutory filings and corporate governance administration.

She also assists with bookkeeping, helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting processes.
